So I’ve decided to start an indefinite project. Each month I will print a postcard that corresponds to emotions or events affecting my life. Recently I’ve bought a home with the man I love and have 100% focus on my art career. I am growing up to say the least and Neil Diamond’s words hit replay in my head as one day, though at 25 years of age, I realized I am not a little girl anymore as much as I may still feel so. Hence Mr. Diamond’s affect on my first card of A Dozen Posts project.

I’ve thought a lot about what I want this project to mean and it’s simple really. I want the motivation to translate all the changes that are happening to me in a hand printed, beautiful, postcard. And I thought how fun it would be to receive a card that is so great it’d be hard to send off to someone else and keep to frame. But I’m no fool that people can afford subscriptions to anything these days because I am a victim to cutting a lot of things out to save some dough. So the cost is just $2 a month – enough to pay for the materials of paper, ink, plates, and postage which is enough for me to fund this idea. And who can beat a $2 hand printed card? They’ll be made by letterpress or screen print.

The first of every month I will be heading to the post office to mail off the month’s piece of art for subscribers. Meaning, this particular card is for June 2012 and must be ordered by May 31st if you’d like to partake with this card in tow! If you missed out on ordering the subscription on time or want to order just the card for a friend, it’s available on it’s own. But since it’s not part of the continuous project, it is $3 + shipping.
