BATH.
Oh hey blog, how have you been? I’m sorry I have been so out of touch. I have lots of excuses. Want to hear them? Well, a friend got an internship in the city and wanted to rent our half unfinished basement from us for a couple of months. We decided this was a good opportunity to use the rent money to build a bathroom, give ours a facelift, all the while I got promoted to full-time being a Marketing & Art Director for some vegan establishments around town during the Sundance Film Festival where I spent my 4th year volunteering watching a dozen amazing movies. Oh and I had an impromptu show at Jed’s Barber Shop and have been selling art, as usual, more than I can handle at the moment. Damn my long process of prints on wood. I finally fixed up my tabletop letterpress and all it needs now are plates/drawings and ink. Post on that coming soon! I also taught Mate to speak – something I’ve never been able to do with Sheila. I’d keep going but then you are going to think I am making it all up. Here’s proof of our bathroom making skills.
The tile we got to recycle as we found it in my boss’s warehouse. There’s a word for him and I don’t want to use “hoarder.” I love the look of subway tile with dark grout. Before I snapped the final photo, I painted the shower ceiling dark grey. We had some fun giving our bathroom a new look as we put the old sink, toilet, and cabinet in the basement and treated ourselves with new ones.
Ikea and pinterest have definitely been my best friends lately. But don’t be jealous, blog. I haven’t forgotten about you at all. That’s why I am here to tell you more about the happenings in my life and that I will be keeping in touch much more.
